New Home

Just a quick card to share today. Yesterday my Niece and her boyfriend bought their first home together and although I could have had a card already made for them, they've had quite a job buying somewhere. Here in the south and in the small town where I live in particular there are so many people going after the same few house that are going onto the market, it has taken them well over a year to get this far. First they found that they were not putting in a big enough offer, then they found somewhere and because it was taking so long to go through (not their fault) the lady decided she would ask them to pay a lot more money. So they said thanks, but no thanks and started all over again. Then we get to now and they have just picked the keys up ready to move in at the weekend, I think you can see why I did not want to put the horse before the cart by making the card ready. This one was made using a tonic die and green and black card stock, it was quick and easy to make and ready to pop through their door later on.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Really good news to hear that your niece and her boyfriend have now managed to find their home and I hope they will be very happy there when they move in together.

Your card is lovely Sue. A gorgeous die and I really like the colour. Barbxx

What a great Die. This is a perfect card for a new house.

I can relate to their problems finding a house to buy. We looked for 2 1/2 years before we bought this one. We moved in last Feb and hope to say here for many, many years. Our grandkis are just 6 houses away! Son in law found the housefor us as he was wlking the dog when the sign was put up. We were the first in and made an offer right away but were caught in a bidding war with another couple. We had to go over the asking price and felt lucky that we got it.
We then listed and sold our house 4 days later!

Now they sell here for 70 or 80 thousand over asking and go with hours of listing! Crazy!

What a brilliant die - just perfect and as you say quick to make a card. I've missed seeing this one along the way because I'm trying to avoid temptation by not looking at too many dies/stamps etc!!

Beautiful design, I love the white on the Kraft card. I also would love to find that bauble stencil that you used. I hope you are doing well, Shirleyxx
